FAQs

Underwriting is the process that takes place when we are looking at your business bank statements / credit profile and background check to assess the health of your business. From there our underwriters can determine your eligibility to receive funding.
If you have any questions about the process please do not hesitate to call us. Our representatives are here and more than happy to assist you with anything 754.227.5799.
By signing you are providing Fortified with the consent to view your personal documents in order to assess funding eligibility. This is not a contract binding you to receive any funds.
Bad credit does not necessarily disqualify you from receiving funding for your business. After looking over bank statements and other required documentation we are better able to evaluate the health of the business and determine whether or not your business qualifies for funding.
Use the calculator on the homepage and fill out the information as accurately as possible. This will return an estimate of how much your business is eligible to receive.
Once you create an account you will be able to login and access the dashboard to see the status of your application. If you’d prefer to speak with your funding specialist or customer service team directly, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Yes. We work with people of all credit profiles. While your credit will affect the options you qualify for, it is typically not the sole determining factor in a final decline. We will make sure you have every option available to you in our space.
That depends on the type of product you ultimately qualify for. Some of our products are perfect for building and improving your credit, while others don’t impact your credit at all. Your funding specialist will be able to guide you to the best option should you wish to build or improve your credit.
Startups that have been in operation for at least 3 months and are generating an average of $10,000 in gross monthly sales can qualify for funding. We need at least 3 months of business bank statements reflecting the required amount of monthly revenue to pre-qualify your business for funding.
To apply, fill out our brief online application. Based on the information provided we will generate pre-qualified offers and contact you. You will then be prompted to submit supporting documents. Once all of your information has been verified, funding can be in your account in as little as 24 hours! For your convenience our Account Mangers are available to answer questions or concerns as needed.
We do not offer personal or consumer loans at this time.
Small businesses sometimes have funding needs that are below the minimum that banks are able to provide. Fortified offers financing options ranging from $10,000 up to $10,000,000. Funding through a bank can take weeks or even months and require collateral.  We are able to offer financing products that can get you funded in as little as 24 hours and most options do not require collateral.  Our pre-qualification process takes into consideration more than just your credit score.  Even if your credit is less than perfect, Fortified will work to get your business the funding it needs as quickly as possible.

Your loan can be deposited into a business checking or PayPal account. Loans deposited into your PayPal account take just a few minutes to process. Loans deposited into your business checking account take 0-3 days to process, depending on your bank.
Fortified Funding was designed to support whatever your business needs to grow and thrive – everything from purchasing inventory and hiring more staff to upgrading your equipment, launching a promotional campaign or covering costs. Take the increment you need, when you need it.
Your loan is unsecured. However, in certain instances your lender may file a general lien on your business assets with the appropriate state entity. A lien is a filing commonly used by lenders to provide security should a borrower default on a loan obligation. Your lender will not take personal assets as collateral.
Not always. Some owners are not required to provide a personal guarantee in the loan agreement.
Our lines of credit range between $2,000 and $10,000,000.
Loans currently range from six (6) months to five (5) years.
Fortified simplifies your payments by automatically withdrawing your minimum payment from your primary account each day, week, or month depending on the terms. You also can make manual payments toward your balance at any time.
Absolutely not! There’s no separate charge to apply for a line, open an account or even save funds for which you qualified until you need them. Pay only for what you take.
No, most Fortified loans do not have prepayment penalty fees. In fact, the faster you pay off your loan, the more money you’ll save by avoiding fees.
Fortified loans incur fees each month you have an outstanding balance. Fees are posted monthly on the date of the month you took your loan. If you took your loan on a date that does not repeat every month (e.g., the 31st), your fees for that month post on the last day of that month. You may reduce the number of fees incurred by paying more than your monthly minimum due.  Typically, if you have multiple loans, your payment in excess of the monthly minimum will go towards the oldest outstanding loan first. Instead of giving you a discounted price on future fees like a lot of other lenders, once a loan has a $0 balance, you will cease to incur monthly fees on that particular loan.
Yes.  Each loan is an independent installment loan with its own loan agreement and fees.
Fortified loans have a monthly fee for every month you have a balance.  These fees are charged each month that you have a balance.

A traditional APR is the amount of interest on your total loan amount that you’ll pay annually.  Since your fees are not annualized, Fortified does not operate off of a traditional APR.  While reviewing loans based on APR is a method of comparison widely used across financial services, it’s important to take into account the intended purpose of loans and the returns they provide.

We take your security very seriously and follow all regulatory practices to maintain the integrity of your information.
We use your financial information to determine your eligibility for credit.

Applying is quick and easy and typically takes less than 10 minutes.  We ask for basic information about you and your business.  Review your bank information so we can assess your business without long forms, waiting in line or having to dig up old paperwork.

The application and approval process takes only minutes.
Once a loan is requested and the loan agreement is signed, funds are sent to the account of your choice. Loans deposited into your business checking account take 0-3 days to process, depending upon your bank.
We review your documents related to your businesses strength including your business checking account, payment processors, accounting platforms and other online marketplaces. This helps us determine the financial performance of your business by analyzing your average monthly revenue, seller rating, time in business, transaction volume, among other characteristics.
Fortified Funding mainly looks at your business revenue to determine how much funding you can access. The more revenue you’re able to show, the better chance you have of qualifying.  Make sure you link services that contain the majority of your business revenue transactions to improve your likelihood of qualification or access to additional funds.   Additionally, feel free to contact a professional at Fortified Funding if you would like to seek consultation with preparing your corporate documents, cleaning up liens and bad debt, improving your credit score, and any other number of financial matters that can positively affect your business.
Fortified currently provides working capital in all 50 U.S. States, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
